This Saturday May 30th from 6 to 8pm there is a Straw Poll in Abingdon, VA. The location is Los Arcos at 909 W Main St. For those close enough it would be great if you could attend. There will be staffers from the gubernatorial campaigns there to speak and a vote on which candidate you would like to see represent the Democratic Party this November. There is a ten dollar charge to vote with the proceeds going to VAYD and SWVAYD.

SWVAYD is not endorsing a candidate during the primary but will have a meeting again soon after a nominee is settled (vote June 9th!) to work from there to make sure a candidate who will accept federal funding to provide jobs and aid to struggling Virginians and social tolerance will represent us.
